Welcome to the Hart Public Schools Food Services page. Our goal is to make sure your child has an opportunity to enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal choice each day here at Hart. We will endeavor to provide you with up to date information and answer your questions here, however, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to call 873-6242.
At any time during the year, you are welcome to submit a Free and Reduced meal application. Each school has a hard copy in their office or for a quicker response, use the link here, Free and Reduced meal application. To continue prior year benefits a new application should be completed and returned as soon as possible.

Q: How much does lunch cost?
Spitler (Grades K-4): $1.70
Middle (Grades 5-8): $1.95
High (Grades 9-12): $2.10
All the above meals include milk.
Q: How do I pay for my child’s school lunch?
Hart Public Schools accepts cash and checks at each school in addition to offering an online payment option located at www.sendmoneytoschool.com. There is a charge for using the online service.
Q: Why did I receive a letter stating my child’s lunch balance is low?
To help you ensure that your child has an adequate balance in their account, if the child’s account has fallen below $5.00, we will begin to send home a “Low Balance” letter twice a month for Spitler students. If your child’s account hits $0.00 or below, you will receive a “Negative Balance” letter twice a month, alerting you to please deposit funds as soon as possible so your child can continue to purchase lunch.
Q: Can I apply for the Food Program anytime?
You are always welcome to apply for Free and Reduced Price School Meals.
